First Night...Let's see how this goes

Ok family and friends, so I created this blog so that you all can keep up to date with Olivia's development. Mom and Erin can't seem to get enough pics to stare at and my cell phone takes crappy pictures so I thought this would be a neat idea. A girl at church told me how one of her friends created a blog for her daughter. I got to thinking, "Wow, that would be neat for my family." Since you guys are all out of town and don't have the pleasure of seeing her every day like I do you can see her in pics and videos on her very own blog. Yaaaaaaaaaay! So I'm going to try really hard to update it every day to let you know what she did that day and try to put daily pics and videos up. Let's get started, shall we?

Today Olivia woke up after sleeping for 9 1/2 hours last night. That's almost the longest she's slept through the night. The day before that she slept for 10 hours. We've been getting her out of the house more which seems to be helping her to sleep through the night. Plus she has a bedtime routine which includes a warm bottle and nice long warm bath and shampoo in her pink baby tub. After her bath she gets a chamomille (sp) baby oil massage and into warm pj's. I then sit with her in her quiet nursery and hold her until she falls asleep (with her pacifier of course). She usually falls asleep in about 5 minutes or so.

She continued her day by going to church with us in an adorable pink, creme and brown dress and pink bobby socks. Complete with a pink princess headband because she IS a princess.

After church we went to Fonz's mom's house for dinner. This was her first time over there. She was pretty fussy the whole time. I think she may have been sleepy because she cat napped for most of the visit.

Then on to our house to get ready for Monday. I gave her an ounce or so of prune juice before her bottle. She's been constipated lately so the nurse told me to do this. She made this very concerned look the whold time she drank it and looked at me like I didn't know what I was doing. Or as is to say "What the heck is this Mommy?! This does not taste like my formula lady."  I wasn't sure if this would work or if I gave her enough. Well about an hour later...let's just say it worked. Oh it worked!

She then got her bath (while on the phone with grandmommy chickie) and her baby oil massage and into the pink and white sweet pea-like pj's from granny. She cooed the whole time until she realized it was bedtime and then she screamed for about 5 minutes. Then she fell asleep and I put her in her bassinet (also from granny chickie) which is where she is right now. It's now 12:10 am. I'm too tired to post pics tonight but I'll try to post some tomorrow. I'm pretty sure Erin is gonna read this blog religiously (the same way she did my diary back in the day).

Love you guys and stay tuned for more news from the family princess Olivia!

  2. Yes I WILL be reading this as often and as enthusiastically as I read your journal in High School. Oh this makes my day!!!! I love the idea of coming on here and reading about the precious girl every day! Btw- Olivia has the life. I wish there was someone to give me baths and nightly massages. I would sleep for 15 hours too.

  3. Very interesting fact...Mom mentioned that Olivia's blog was started on her great grandmother Ruby's birthday (March 6). What a neat coincidence!
