A Day In The Life of Princess Olivia

Olivia woke up this morning at about 9:30. She slept in our bed last night because she wanted to wake up every two hours to eat. Good morning!

just waking up
wants me to pick her up
get that camera out of my face

First thing I do is change her diaper. It's definitely full from the night before: She always stretches when I put her on the changing table in the morning.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Now her diaper is changed and she's dressed for the day. We're staying home all day so all she needs is her comfortable onesie:
Fast forward several naps and bottles later and daddy's home. Fonz wants to holdy burst her soon as he comes in:
Hi Daddy!

I wanna holdy burst her too!
Now she wants to play with her hands...her new pastime:

lemme just put this hand in my mouth
I'm pretty sure she's pooping right now

uuuuh, yup. major poop. Pooped right through her diaper. That's enough prune juice for her

All Clean Now!
And very happy
Now back to my favorite chair to play and coo
and more cooing

Sooooo, that's Olivis's day in pictures. She's about to get a bath and a warm bottle and her nightly massage. Then off to bed. Hopefully she'll get back to sleeping through the night tonight. Goodnight!

Olivia Is 10 Weeks Old Today!!!!!!

Alriiiiight, time for my nightly blog. Olivia is sleeping on Fonz so I have a few minutes "to myself."
So once again I had to work today so I can only describe her evening. I can pretty much sum it up in one word. SLEEP. That's what she did pretty much all evening. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that she completely BLEW UP her diaper this morning. I mean, it was like a war zone...to the point where she had to change her clothes. Similar to the time we took her to church for the first time and she pooped all over her beautiful sunday dress. Hmmm, maybe I'll pump the brakes on that prune juice.

Tomorrow is my last day at work this week so I'm looking forward to being at home with her all day on Thurs and Fri. She is going to Aunt Mae's house tomorrow while Fonz and I are at work so I'm sad about that.

She is officially 10 weeks old today yaaaaaaaaaay! New in her development are the following:
1.She discovered her hands today and stared at them for quite some time. She likes to move them all around and follow them with her eyes.
2. She smiles at strangers.
3. She gets really excited when she sees someone she knows well (pretty much just me and sometimes Fonz). She giggles and coos and makes that Berry Boop mouth.
4. While laying on her stomach she can prop herself up with her arms. Kinda like a mini push-up. If she's anything like her mom that's as far as she'll be able to push up. I CAN NOT do push ups.
5. She can hold her head up pretty good now until her neck gets tired.
6. She can focus on something and follow it with her eyes.
7. She can see up to 10 feet away.
8. She can see colors

Anyway, Olivia has literally been asleep all evening so I figured I would post some older pics. I still can't believe how quickly she's growing! Hope everyone is enjoying her blog!

P.S.  Thanks to grandaddy Oliver for the video he sent to Olivia! She sends coos and giggles and smiles (since she can't talk yet).

Enjoy the pics.....

Round Two

Well, I had a very positive response from everyone concerning my blog so I'll keep it up as long as I can. Thanks to everyone who is keeping up with us!

Soooooo, today I had to go in to work so Fonz was a stay at home dad for a day. I can't really give the rundown on her day since I wasn't here but I can let you know how Olivia's evening went. When I got home (around 8pm) she was just waking up from a catnap. That's never a good thing because it means she will be up aaaaalllllll night. She gave me a BIG smile as soon as she saw me though, so that made it ok. I took pics and got a really good one of her gummy smile. Anyway, I held her in one arm as I attempted to eat dinner with the other -something I'm getting pretty good at. After dinner I gave her a warm bottle and then her bedtime bath. She was NOT having it tonight. She pretty much cried through the entire bath from beginning to end so I had to cut it short. I tried to sing her favorite bathtime song but that seemed to make her scream even louder. She was just in a crappy mood tonight!

After her bath I put her pajamas on and she became an emotional rollercoaster. Laugh then cry then laugh then cry over and over again. I snapped a pic of her all wrapped up in her hooded towel for your viewing pleasure. She wouldnt even tolerate her baby oil massage. Can you believe that Annie?

Finally we sat in the nursery while she drifted off to sleep with the crying hiccups. You know the hiccups you get after crying really hard. She didn't actually fall asleep really good until about 11:30. I'm crossing my fingers that she'll stay asleep for at least 6 hours beacuse I'm exhausted! If Kye starts barking tonight and wakes her up I'm gonna put him in the microwave on high. Bye Bye Kye.

On another note, I have a ton of pics to load from the first day Olivia was born up until now. I haven't decided if I'm going to sprinkle them in from time to time or if I'm just going to load them all one day this week. It's really neat to see how much she's grown in such a short time. Hard to believe she's 9 pounds 10oz now! She's still a little peanut but she's loooooong like her mamma! Hopefully she'll inherit her grandaddy Oliver's speed. Looks like she already inherited her grandmommy chickie's hair :)

Alright, it's past my bedtime any my eyes are burning. Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to check out the latest pics and leave any comments in the comments section. I check daily!

First Night...Let's see how this goes

Ok family and friends, so I created this blog so that you all can keep up to date with Olivia's development. Mom and Erin can't seem to get enough pics to stare at and my cell phone takes crappy pictures so I thought this would be a neat idea. A girl at church told me how one of her friends created a blog for her daughter. I got to thinking, "Wow, that would be neat for my family." Since you guys are all out of town and don't have the pleasure of seeing her every day like I do you can see her in pics and videos on her very own blog. Yaaaaaaaaaay! So I'm going to try really hard to update it every day to let you know what she did that day and try to put daily pics and videos up. Let's get started, shall we?

Today Olivia woke up after sleeping for 9 1/2 hours last night. That's almost the longest she's slept through the night. The day before that she slept for 10 hours. We've been getting her out of the house more which seems to be helping her to sleep through the night. Plus she has a bedtime routine which includes a warm bottle and nice long warm bath and shampoo in her pink baby tub. After her bath she gets a chamomille (sp) baby oil massage and into warm pj's. I then sit with her in her quiet nursery and hold her until she falls asleep (with her pacifier of course). She usually falls asleep in about 5 minutes or so.

She continued her day by going to church with us in an adorable pink, creme and brown dress and pink bobby socks. Complete with a pink princess headband because she IS a princess.

After church we went to Fonz's mom's house for dinner. This was her first time over there. She was pretty fussy the whole time. I think she may have been sleepy because she cat napped for most of the visit.

Then on to our house to get ready for Monday. I gave her an ounce or so of prune juice before her bottle. She's been constipated lately so the nurse told me to do this. She made this very concerned look the whold time she drank it and looked at me like I didn't know what I was doing. Or as is to say "What the heck is this Mommy?! This does not taste like my formula lady."  I wasn't sure if this would work or if I gave her enough. Well about an hour later...let's just say it worked. Oh it worked!

She then got her bath (while on the phone with grandmommy chickie) and her baby oil massage and into the pink and white sweet pea-like pj's from granny. She cooed the whole time until she realized it was bedtime and then she screamed for about 5 minutes. Then she fell asleep and I put her in her bassinet (also from granny chickie) which is where she is right now. It's now 12:10 am. I'm too tired to post pics tonight but I'll try to post some tomorrow. I'm pretty sure Erin is gonna read this blog religiously (the same way she did my diary back in the day).

Love you guys and stay tuned for more news from the family princess Olivia!
